Program Manager, Grants and Operations
Dominique Riviere’s career trajectory has been surprising in some of the best possible ways, considering that almost none of it happened according to plan. After completing her PhD at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, Dominique spent several years working as a research officer at OISE’s Centre for Urban Schooling. In that role, she led and co-led several projects designed to support the success of marginalized and under-served students. From there, Dominique landed in the Ontario Public Service as a policy/program analyst in various ministries (including the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and the OPS Diversity Office in the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services).
Apparently not feeling busy enough, Dominique has also lectured in teacher education and graduate studies programs and she occasionally serves as an independent research consultant for local community-based organizations. Dominique is thrilled to be immersed in the world of innovation and entrepreneurship at Studio Y, supporting youths’ curiosity, creativity and capacity to effect positive social change.
In her down time, you will likely find Dominique with a book in hand or keeping up with her dance training at a neighbourhood studio.
